Final Battles

OVERARCHING UNTIL THE END

• Mission: First Villainship encounter. Villainship helps act as antagonists as story winds to a close.
• Mission: Old Ohm home planet mission. Fungus-riddled Iitha. They learn about the Ohm-Rom-Daligig's joint history. They know to go to Rom for more info.
• Mission: Catastrophists – intelligence mission, introduction to the cult and their practices. Find out about an Ohm attack on a GIA HQ planet. Find out more about Nemo and where he's from. Find out daligig have something to do with IT as well.
• Mission: GIA HQ battle. Doesn't necessarily have to be large. The Ohm kill catastrophists just like anyone else. Catastrophists believe death by ohm lets them ascend to a higher plane. They think they’re angels. Sent to wipe the worlds clean of life. Villains from villainship interfere and it is revealed to the GIA they're being led by the daligig.
• Mission: As the Daligig drop their mask and move into action, the crew can go to Rom Mothership. Use the Rom's guidance to work the Tapestry to show them the last info about IT and Nemo being IT's avatar the Daligig's deal with IT and all that.

ENDGAME

• Hivemindy persons or random persons are captured by the Ohm, mindprobed, and dumped to be picked up by the ship. They have infections of nanites that cannot be beaten, changing their minds to be more ohm-likes.
• Crew must decide whether or not to kill them. This determines whether the Ohm join in the fight or not.
• In the good ending, they are left alive, and they communicate with the Ohm. They find out the truth of what happened to their nursery planets and the Ohm join them against the Daligig.
• Advances made in Neuropathy combined with sabotage by the slave race that created the Trans ships (the Ghyyl) allow Stacy to break entirely free from Daligig control and repair the last of her mental damage. People’s full memories are restored, including memories of people from old Trans that are still there like Danny.
• The ship can broadcast the Daligig’s evil to the GIA, getting a lot of them to ally with them.
• They have to stop the Daligig from activating the god engine, the device stolen by the space pirates ages ago.

Stage 2 – The Reality Clusters

• The Rom show up to help, telling them about the reality clusters.
• They find that time and space have warped to create these odd clusters of reality that are relays that need to light up for the god engine to work, often warped, blended pieces of reality from the missions they undertook or battles they fought in or parts of their worlds/lives. The threads wound into them are the threads of certain crew members, so only they can go in and destroy the heart of the cluster. Each cluster has a limited number of characters, and is tailored for them so characters can have them be fights, puzzles, or negotiation/diplomacy as needed.
• The destruction of most of the clusters lead to the god-engine from being delayed in its activation.
• The GIA and other good Trans ships join them as well as allies from worlds they’ve saved.

Stage 3 – The Air Battle

• Everyone that people want free from podsleep is released, including characters they dropped.
• They must follow the Daligig through a reality gate to their home-world, with Starfighter Command keeping Stacy aloft until they're through the gate.
• A damaged Stacy crashes on the reality-warped homeworld of the Daligig.

Stage 4 – The Last Battle

• The last free-for-all epic ground battle occurs with Starfighter Command trying to keep the skies clear. Total free-for-all. GIA forces and other Trans ship people fight beside them. Everyone has something to do. Engineers have shit to repair, medics have people to medic, fighters have bad guys to fight, people communicate tactical info over the comms while on the broken Stacy.
• Several teams have a go at stopping Nemo. He has the last piece of the engine that was in the case that the space pirates stole after getting it on an older mission.
• They fail. A killing fire sweeps through the entire battle and kills everyone.

Stage 5 – The Actual Final battle

• The souls of the crew are in a dark space surrounded by universes, all getting snuffed out as they watch. Nemo has left them existing because he plans to torture them unto all eternity. He returns and starts swirling them around in a horrible storm, but they hold onto each other. The threads, the paths people weave through their lives, made of the choices they make, and the connections they create with others start to hold everyone together, giving them strength. The threads then start lashing out at Nemo.
• Crew members who have died show up, bringing reinforcements from the other dead. Soon every being that has ever lived, now dead thanks to Nemo, exists all in the same space and joins into the web.
• There is a thread for people calling out oaths or singing or saying beautiful things or whispering prayers, or spells of protection. Whatever has meaning for them, it adds to the strength of the threads.
• There is a thread with unnamed or logged in cameos of other characters not in the game, just to show how diverse a group there is. Bonus lulz if we go all meta and the players are threaded in since ALL of existence has been destroyed and that includes us.
• Nemo is eventually destroyed by this show of joint strength, leaving his massive power free-floating. Stacy runs through the crowd and jumps at it, telling the crew that the only reason she can handle such power is that she loves them and watching them grow has made her grow. She will rebuild the universe as it was, because there is nothing else that exists like the struggle of life and death, kindness and apathy, and she cannot take away the negative entirely because IT’s avatar was destroyed but IT still exists. The choice is life with all its beauty and hardships or death and paradise for all but no experiences and no creation of new souls. She has decided from their struggles to choose life. IT can someday be destroyed if they fight IT hard enough but they have to be alive to do so, and besides, paradise can always come after. The action kind of burns her up, but the last part of her is sent back in time to the beginning of the universe where it is eventually found by the Rom later and made into the Tapestry.
In the end, their entire experiences as a crew throughout the course of the game have affected the outcome of the game and the way they lived is what allows the universe to be restored.

The Aftermath - Sandbox
• The Multiverse is restored, including all the worlds the Ohm destroyed. The Daligig are scattered and defanged. Their slave races are freed.
• All the ship’s dead are revived (if the players want).
• Crew members can fake their own deaths in their timelines if they were due to die, if it’s necessary to make the timeline safe, but then live on the ship if they want.
• The ship is locked to a certain “present day” on each world, and no longer able to travel through time.
• Characters can go home, but can come back whenever they want, via a glowing brand on their hand, as long as the ship isn’t in transit.
• Stacy has lost most of her power restoring the Multiverse, but can still act as the occasional otherworldly guide, and gives them missions as a way of combatting IT via the Tapestry.
• Rommie and Cortana’s cores have been restored to their home universes, with their memories of the ship, but copies have been left to run Trans9.
• Ship flies off onto the sunset.
